Firefighters tackled a house blaze in Earlsheaton last night (Sunday).

Crews from Dewsbury and Ossett were called to the semi-derelict property at High Road at 7.33pm and on arrival found the residential side of the property ablaze.

An aerial platform from Leeds was also used at the scene.

Nobody was in the property at the time and a West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said it is not known what caused the fire.

Large jets were used to extinguish the fire and crews left the scene at around 10pm.
