She’s got the carriage, the horse, the footmen and even the slippers.
But despite the best efforts of her fairy godmother, Cinders still can’t go to the ball – because she hasn’t got a gown!
Dewsbury Collegians are presenting Cinderella for their 2013 pantomime and are looking for a beautiful dress for Cinders to wear and woo Prince Charming at the ball.
Tracy Stocks, from the Collegians’ costume department, said: “We are looking for a ball gown in pale colours, of size eight to 10 – something with a bit of bling and sparkle.
“Prince Charming is wearing turquoise so we’d like the dress to be pale blue, lemon, cream or white.
“We are short of funds and it is expensive to hire dresses, so we are hoping somebody will be able to donate or lend us a gown.
“If someone could donate the dress we will offer free tickets for a family of four to the show, or if they only want to loan it to us we will get it cleaned.
“We want something dazzling.”
The show hits the stage at Dewsbury Town Hall from Tuesday January 14 to Saturday January 18.
