Residents at a Mirfield care home enjoyed an afternoon tea to celebrate a 100th birthday.
Hilda Travis lived independently until she was 94 and moved to Woodlands Care Home on Sands Lane in 2009.
Last Thursday members of her family were joined by staff and other residents to celebrate her centenary.
Mrs Travis was born at Lightcliffe and met her husband Victor while working at T F Firths carpets at Bailiff Bridge.
The couple married in 1936 and had two children, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and even a great-great-grandchild. Mr Travis died in 1988.
Kelly Hopkinson, activity department manager at the home, said: “Hilda is our oldest resident she is full of life and has an amazing character.
“It is a pleasure to listen to her stories about her life.
“We celebrated Hildas birthday by holding an afternoon tea with some members of her family and other residents, made her a beautiful cake and bought her a massive bunch of flowers, she also had her lovely card from the Queen.”
