Music from the 40s to the 60s will sound out around the town’s Market Place when Batley Vintage Day returns for a fourth year on Saturday, May 27.

This year’s highlights include a triple Battle of Britain memorial flypast with a Spitfire, Lancaster and Hurricane at 2.10pm, vintage vehicles, stalls, crafts and a dance area.

Andrew Mardsen, of Batley Business Association, which organises the event said: “Seeing the three planes flying together is something you rarely get the chance to see, so to see them come low over the centre of Batley is going to be something very special.”

The event will take place from 10am until 5pm. Visit
