A marketing firm is keeping its fingers crossed after being nominated for three industry awards.

Fantastic Media in Birstall has been shortlisted in the Marketing On Mobile Awards (MOMAs) and is up for two accolades at the Prolific North Marketing Awards.

The firm, in Dark Lane, has been nominated in the travel/leisure/sports mobile category at the MOMAs for its Pitchero app, which launched in January.

The app is a global club management network with tools for sports clubs around the world and has recieved 80,000 downloads and hosted more than 1.3 million sessions.

The MOMAs are organised by industry publication The Drum.

In the Prolific North Marketing Awards, Pitchero has been nominated in the app of the year category and the firm’s Fruitypot work has also been recognised in the low budget campaign category.

The awards focus on rewarding excellence in the north’s creative and media industries.

Fantastic Media’s managing director Andy Hobson said: “We’re excited to be nominated for these awards which celebrate the talent that exists in our creative sectors.

“Both Pitchero and Fruitypot have been, and still are, fantastic projects to be involved in and it’s great to gain recognition for our work.

“It would be an honour to win the awards but just being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement for the team in itself.”

The MOMAs will be held next Thursday at the Emirates Stadium, London, while the Prolific North Marketing Awards ceremony will take place on July 3 at the Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club.
