Police need your help in reuniting stolen RAF medals with their rightful owner.

The four medals were stolen from the Mifield home of a 92-year-old man in August.

Simon Brooke, 44, of Lockwood Avenue, Sunnybank, Mirfield, has pleaded guilty to theft from dwelling and is due to be sentenced in March.

He claims he sold the medals to a stallholder on Huddersfield Market.

The four medals are a Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, a War Medal, a Defence Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

The Long Service & Good Conduct Medal has Thomas Thornhill and RAF number 1682603 etched on the back.

Police are keen to speak to anyone, both stallholders and members of the public, who have been offered such items for sale, either at Huddersfield Market or elsewhere.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 11
