Dewsbury-based bed manufacturer Kozee Sleep has been bought out, having entered administration last month.
John Cotton Group, which is based in Mirfield, has purchased the company’s former building in Dewsbury and other properties owned by Kozee Sleep.
It is thus far unclear whether this latest development may save the jobs of the 160 people made redundant by Kozee Sleep last week.
John Cotton Group manufactures pillows and duvets and is located on Huddersfield Road in Mirfield.
Mark Cotton, Group Managing Director, said “Both our Nonwoven and Home Textiles divisions have experienced substantial growth over the last few years and these new properties will help us to expand our warehousing facilities in the Mirfield area to support further growth.
“We are a business that is passionate about investing in the local area, so when these properties became available, it was the perfect opportunity for us to fulfil both our social and commercial aspirations.”
