Take That star Gary Barlow and playwright Tim Firth have announced their new play The Girls will premiere at Leeds Grand Theatre.

Based on Firth’s hit Olivier Award-winning play and movie Calendar Girls, the musical comedy will run from November 14 to December 12.

It is inspired by the true story of a group of ladies who decided to appear nude for a Women’s Institute calendar in order to raise funds to buy a settee for their local hospital, in memory of one of their husbands.

It will be directed by Roger Haines and Tim Firth himself.

Tickets are £10-£45. Buy from leedsgrandtheatre.com or call the box office on 0844 848 2700.
