A RAVENSTHORPE schoolboy was suspended from school after writing 'All Americans must die' on a white board, a court heard yesterday (Tuesday).
Waris Ali, now 18, was sent on premature study leave from Westborough High School, where he was studying for his GCSEs, in 2006.

Teacher Nicola Colloby told Leeds Crown Court she had been "upset and angry" when she discovered the message in her classroom, as Ali knew her partner was American.

She said: "I was extremely upset and angry. He did apologise, saying to me, 'It wasn't directed at you'. I said, 'How could it not be directed at me?'"

Jurors heard Ali had already had his school planner confiscated after a teacher discovered it contained handwritten notes on the Twin Towers attacks in New York.

Ali, of Dearnley Street, denies three charges of possessing articles for a terrorist purpose.

Co-defendant Dabeer Hussain, also 18, of Clarkson Street, Ravensthorpe, denies one count of possessing an article for a terrorist purpose.

The trial continues.
