A SHOP with a difference is opening in Dewsbury on Wednesday.
Almost 1,000 people had a glimpse of the new store in Longcauseway at Friday's Spirit event, but the shop officially opens on Wednesday.
The shop will be run by artists Encounter and although it doesn't sell anything, the group is confident it has plenty to offer shoppers and is inviting people to visit it on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman said the shop was a place for people, 'to come together to exchange stories and share ideas about the past, present and future.'
There will be giant blackboard in the unit where people can write their answers to weekly questions, children will be invited to draw their family portrait which will be hung in the shop and people can grow vegetable seeds in the shop and go back to eat the food.
The artists also hope to put together a slideshow of local people's photographs of Dewsbury and there will also be a lost and found section.
One of the first things people can get involved in, is the naming of the shop, which has yet to be christened.
