A MEMBER of the Society for the Blind of Dewsbury, Batley and District's handicraft classes put her knitting skills to the test – and scooped a prize at Dewsbury Show.
June Brearey, who is registered blind and attends the centre in Soothill, won first prize and the trophy for best in show for an Arran cardigan she knitted.
General manager Hilary Schreiner said: "June attends handicraft classes at the centre and works tirelessly along with other members producing handicrafts to sell at our various fundraising events.
"We are all justly proud of June and her handicraft skills. Congratulations and well done!"
