Police renew appeal in hunt for gang who attacked relatives

POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses to an attack on an 11-year-old boy and his uncle by a gang in Thornhill Lees.
The pair were targeted on Saturday October 31 at about 7.15pm in Pioneer Street, where about four or five youths approached and asked them the time.

When the uncle reached for his phone he was jumped from behind and attacked.

The 11-year-old ran for help and the suspects ran off towards Ingham Road.

They were white with shaven heads and dark clothes.

Shortly before the attack the uncle's house was hit by an egg.
