THE son of a Mirfield Tory councillor has been suspended from the party for using a Nazi metaphor in a Young Conservatives newsletter.
David Bolt, who was Conservative Future's West Yorkshire chairman, was writing about campaigning by young party members in key constituencies in the update.

Mr Bolt, the son of Kirklees Conservative Party deputy leader Coun Martyn Bolt, wrote: "Over the next month, the branches in West Yorkshire will begin collaborative Action Days in order to maximize the effect of Conservative Future assistance in battleground constituencies. In effect, we will form a CF Sonderkommando which will be available to blitz any areas which battleground PPCs particularly wish to target."

The Sonderkommando were units of prisoners in Nazi death camps made to dispose of bodies.

A Conservative Party spokesman said: "The use of these offensive terms was wholly unacceptable and they should never have been used. The author has apologised for any distress caused but because of the serious nature of his comments he was immediately suspended from the Party."
