A MAN was left with serious injuries after he fell from the Ashworth Road flyover yesterday.
The man, who has not been named but is believed to be in his 40s, landed in the car park below.

The emergency services were called to the scene at 10.10am. Paramedics treated him before taking him by ambulance to Dewsbury and District Hospital.

Eyewitness Russell Cowling said: "I went over and saw the man on his side as the paramedic was trying to get him in a stable and comfortable position.

"As the paramedic was moving him he was crying out in pain and he was moving his legs around. I think he landed on his feet."

A police spokesman said the man's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
