A PUPIL at a Mirfield school was speechless after receiving a bag of goodies and a personal letter from one of Britain's most popular comedians.
Bethany Price, of Battyeford Primary School, was sent a selection of signed memorabilia from TV show Little Britain, along with a personal letter from one of the show's creators Matt Lucas after he read about Bethany in the Reporter.

Bethany, 10, who suffers from a rare neuro-degenerative metabolic disorder, was featured in the Reporter after being nominated for this year's Champion Children awards. Her mum said she enjoyed doing impressions of characters from Little Britain and after reading the article, Matt's brother telephoned the school and said Matt wanted to send her something.

Bethany was presented with the signed book, CDs, DVDs and pictures in assembly in front of her schoolmates, her mum and gran.

Bethany's teacher, Jayde Muscroft, said: "When we got back to class she asked if we could play the Little Britain Comic Relief song 500 miles , so we were all dancing around the room and singing. Her classmates were really pleased for her."

SEE page 33 of this week's Reporter for how to nominate someone special for a Champion Children award.
