Hair today, gone tomorrow for charity

A SUPERMARKET in Dewsbury was hoping to raise around £2,000 for Sport Relief.
More than £20m has been collected through activities and donations across the country.
Money will go to vulnerable people living difficult lives in the UK and some of the world's poorest countries.
Throughout the weekend at Sainsbury's in Railway Street, staff wore fancy dress, cycled 250 miles on an exercise bike and ran four laps of the car park.
Store manager Tim Morris had his moustache shaved on Friday and Batley Juniors football team carried out a bag pack on Saturday. There was a raffle for customers, with prizes donated by local firms.
l STAFF and pupils at Eastborough Junior, Infant and Nursery School raised nearly £250 for Sport Relief on Friday. Children each paid 10p to watch four teams of pupils take on their teachers in netball matches, while the younger pupils took part in egg and spoon races.
Noreen Dunn, deputy headteacher, said: "It was a great success but the teachers were very tired by the end of it."
Pupils were also allowed to wear their sports kit to school and raised a total of £241.90 for the BBC charity appeal.
