Firefighters tackle blaze for more than 24 hours

FIREFIGHTERS are battling a blaze which has been burning since Sunday afternoon.
The fire, at a skip company in Ravenswharf Road, Scout Hill, has been raging since 4pm on Sunday.

A large pile of rubbish approximatley 200 metres long, 50 metres wide and 10 metres deep is alight.

Firefighters from Dewsbury, Mirfield and Wakefield have all been trying to control the blaze.

The cause of the inferno is not yet known.
