YORKSHIRE curiosities were the subject of a talk at the Dewsbury Probus Club meeting.
The speaker at the fortnightly meeting at Hanging Heaton Church Hall was Trevor Moody.

He showed slide shows of unusual Yorkshire objects including towers, graves and monuments. He was introduced by senior vice-president Alan Worley and Bob Hunter gave the vote of thanks.

Reports were given by joint registrar Brian Isherwood, secretary Michael Smith, treasurer Peter Rodgers and almoner Derek Hobson. The annual meeting will be held on May 15.

The club has vacancies and anyone interested in becoming a member can contact Brian Isherwood on 01924 471386.
