CHILDREN have created a giant mural inspired by a mythological Green character.
The pupils, from Ravensthorpe Infant School, North Road, painted canvases which showed an image of the winged horse Pegasus when put together.

The children painted their own sections which had been pre-drawn in pencil by visiting artist Caro Ward. The piece was created at the end of a three-day art workshop when the children learned about Winnie the Pooh and Beatrix Potter.

Artist Caro said: "It is fantastic. They have done really well and they loved it.

"It was a way for them to learn techniques and it was fantastic seeing how they improved from when they first started with small detailed drawings to one huge piece."
