A WOMAN who played a major role in the search for Shannon Matthews will appear in court later this month charged with benefit fraud.
Amanda Hyett, sister of Craig Meehan, the former partner Shannon's mother Karen Matthews, is due to appear at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court charged with seven counts of benefit fraud.
It is believed Hyett, 26, of Moorside Road, Dewsbury Moor, illegally claimed housing benefit and income support.
