Classical Brit winner dances night away

A PROGRAMME of wonderful melodies and outstanding virtuosity is promised as Opera North’s music director Richard Farnes returns to the Kirklees Concert season.

And also making a welcome appearance is classical BRIT winner Jack Liebeck as he makes his Kirklees debut with the Orchestra of Opera North.

The recital opens with Rachmaninov’s final orchestral work, which is, for many, his greatest achievement and this is certainly also the case of Sibelius’s Symphony No 5.

Violinist Jack Liebeck made his concert debut with the Hallé Orchestra aged 15 and in 2010 he won the Classical BRIT Award for Young British Performer of the Year.

This concert, is on December 5 at the town hall in Huddersfield, tickets £8-£24 with concessions from.kirklees.gov.uk/townhalls or the box office on 01484 223200.
