Post office closures: where's the sense?
Published Date:

The EU is closing our post offices.
Why don't the Libs, Cons and Labour state it is the terrible European set up which is closing our post offices. Is it because they are ignorant or dishonest?
The EU directive 97/97//EC instructed our government to split the Royal Mail from post offices. Week in, week out they are destroying Britain as at least 75 per cent of our laws are now made in Brussels.
For the Dewsbury MP not to mention this etc, I think he is the worst MP Dewsbury has ever had. I am willing to amplify in future weeks.
More than once I have been asked to stand for office in Dewsbury and thus I wish to advise my fellow Dewsburians that if I stand in next year's Euro elections they will be able to vote for me.
For those who do not know, the wasteful EU is now costing all taxpayers at least £43m every day.
To add further injury we see that the chief executive of the post offices is to be paid a £3m pay package.
What a disgrace and further evidence we are a sick nation.

This may not be longest letter to your paper but how is this for common sense?
When all the post offices have been closed and all us OAPs have to use transport to far away banks, etc to draw our pensions, where is the policy of the Westminster Think Tank about using less fuel and getting more vehicles off our busy roads?
PS: Can anyone understand the advert on TV about the people's post offices?
